Jayme Russell
Lead Librarian
Jayme Russell received her B.A. in Creative Writing and her M.A. in Poetry from Ohio University in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and received her MFA in Poetry from The University of Notre Dame in 2014.  Recently, she received the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award from the Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning and was nominated for the Midwest Association of Graduate School’s Excellence in Teaching Award, a prestigious nomination given yearly to one select master's student teaching at Notre Dame. She has been lead librarian at Montessori Academy Edison Lakes since 2015, in which she has been working to expand and rejuvenate the library collection and services.

Meg Rooney
Assistant Librarian
 
Meg Rooney is the afternoon Library assistant and has been involved with Montessori Academy since1993. Through her years of involvement with Montessori Academy, she has volunteered in the classroom, served on board committees, and worked on many writing projects for the school. She received her B.A. from Syracuse University in Advertising and English Literature and Linguistics in 1979. She has served as Vice President of Educational Outreach for Southold Dance Theater, and parish volunteer for the NENC Food Pantry & Catholic Worker House. Meg and her husband, Kevin, have three children who are proud alumni of MAEL.

Gary Lippincott
Assistant Athletic Director
Gary Lippencott was born and raised in South Bend, attended South Bend Public Schools and attended IUSB.  I worked 38 years at the South Bend Tribune holding several positions during the time, the last being the Single Copy Sales/Merchandising Manager. He is the Music Director at his church, and plays guitar/singing in the Praise Band at church.  He has been involved with Special Olympic Unified Bowling and Golf for the past 30+ years, and, in 2015, he took over as the Golf Coach.  He has also coached youth baseball, soccer, basketball and flag football. Along with playing golf, Gary enjoys fishing and spending time with his son, Morgan (a 2013 graduate of Montessori Academy), attending Notre Dame Hockey, Women's Basketball and Baseball/Softball and as many ND & IU Football and South Bend Cubs games as possible.

Joan Berta
Elementary After Care Teacher
Joan Berta, also known as "Grandma Joan", has taken care of our children in the Elementary After Care program since 2005. Joan received her BS in Nursing from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 and worked as a registered nurse for both Memorial Hospital of South Bend (1952-62) and St. Joseph Hospital (1962-71). Joan's granddaughters both graduated from Montessori Academy. Her hobbies include stained glass work, cooking, sewing and knitting.

Morgan Lippincott
After Care Assistant
Morgan Lippincott is an alumnus of the Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes, having attended first through eighth grade. He is currently a senior at Saint Joseph High School where he runs cross-country and track and plays in the marching band.
