Commitments
A Montessori education is a commitment
for everyone involved. The Montessori Academy pledges that the
school will be dedicated to the education of your child. In
return, parents are encouraged to take an active role in the
education and development of their child at The Montessori
Academy.

- Honor the principles of the Montessori philosophy and method
- Foster competent, responsible, adaptive citizens who are lifelong learners and problem solvers
- Offer a safe, secure learning environment that fosters
self-discipline and social responsibility
by providing an inquiring, cooperative and nurturing atmosphere - Provide a learning atmosphere that fosters self-confidence and positive work habits
- Offer a challenging and engaging curriculum to students
- Build thinking abilities and academic skills
- Maintain a qualified and caring faculty and staff
- Build a relationship of trust and support between home and
commitments of the family
- Be in agreement with the Montessori philosophy and methods
- Grow in understanding of the Montessori philosophy and
method by attending
educational offerings at TMA and by reading published materials - Take an active role in the life of TMA through
involvement in the Parent Network
and/or by volunteering in offered opportunities - Observe classes, attend parent conferences, and
communicate regularly with teachers
to support the child's developmental needs - Support the "whole child" concept of education by giving
value to emotional,
social, and physical−as well as intellectual−development
