Parent Education

There are many opportunities to learn about Montessori philosophy, curriculum, and your child’s progress:

  • Parents are invited observe in their child’s classroom.
     
  • Parent teacher conferences are scheduled  three times each year.
     
  • In the fall, there is a Back-To-School night. In addition to a whole-school  assembly, families gather in their children’s classrooms and the teacher  distributes important information.
     
  • The Early Childhood program hosts discussions and education evenings  throughout the year.
     
  • Parent breakfasts, hosted each semester, allow  children a chance to host their parents and share their classroom experience.
     
  • Elementary and Junior High teachers host informative Parent Education  evenings to familiarize parents with the curriculum and how it can be supported  at home.
     
  • The school library offers many resources for parents to take home.
     
  • Performances are a part of the Elementary and Junior High programs and are  opportunities to see learning in a non-traditional format.
     
  • Guest speakers visit to lend outside expertise and focus on topics of specific  interest.
