At the Montessori Academy at Edison
Lakes, we believe that learning is a lifelong pursuit. We all
strive to improve ourselves; and to be better parents, spouses,
and communicators. With that in mind, we are offering this new
lecture series to the community with a variety of parenting
topics that are relevant to current challenges families
encounter today. The purpose of the lecture series is to spur
your imagination, tantalize your curiosity, awaken your mind,
and broaden your landscape. We hope you will join us and enjoy!
The final lecture in the series on May 6 begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. To reserve a seat,

Increased independence, social activity,
and sexual development are hallmarks of adolescence. Although
many parents expect it, poor or minimal communication with your
teen does not have to be a necessary part of this developmental
stage. Do you want to stay in touch with your teen and remain a
strong resource for them while they successfully negotiate
adolescence? Join us to learn about connecting with your teen
and how to listen so kids will talk to you.
