Our procedures:
We close when PHM closes for road conditions that create dangerous driving conditions, such as snow or ice.
We close early when PHM closes school for weather emergency, such as heavy snow or ice storms during the day which will impact late day travel. We also encourage parents to make their own decision about picking up prior to any announcement due to driving conditions in your area.
We open at regular time of 8:20 a.m. if PHM has a delay and ask parents to make their own travel decision depending on the road conditions in your neighborhood. The children will not be marked tardy or absent.
We open if PHM closes for intense freezing weather that makes it dangerous for children to wait outside for the bus but the roads are clear for travel.
Our families travel from different geographical areas so we encourage parents to use their own discretion in deciding to drive their children to school in inclement weather. Students who miss school due to weather will have an excused absence.
