The Montessori Teacher Academy (MTA) is an accredited certification program of The Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes and Indiana University South Bend Extended Learning Services for the teaching of children ages two and one-half to six years in the Montessori environment. It is designed as a one-year program which consists of a six-week full-time (eight hours a day, five days a week) academic session conducted in the summer, three weekend workshops of additional curriculum (October, February and May), and a full school year of student teaching.

The next certification program begins in June of 2009 and ends with the school year in June of 2010. All sessions meet at The Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes: 530 East Day Road, Mishawaka, Indiana.
