TMA's December 3, 2019 Weekly Memo
BOOK FAIR STARTS TOMORROW!
Please join us for our annual Scholastic Book Fair! We will have selections of fiction and nonfiction for all ages. This is a great opportunity for kids to select their own books and get excited about reading. Proceeds from the Fair go directly to buying new books for our library.
Book Fair hours of operation will be:
Wednesday, December 4th, 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 5th, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, December 6th, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
NEW! MUSTANGS GIVE BACK!
TMA is filled with loving, caring and generous families! During the Holiday Season, in particular, we know that people are looking for ways to make life a little warmer, happier and easier for those who aren’t as fortunate. Again this year, the Upper Elementary is organizing “Give Back” opportunities!
· TMA Family In Need - It has come to our attention that a family with close ties to our TMA community is struggling to make ends meet after a devastating loss of home and possessions. In order to have the greatest impact, we are asking for gifts of cash or gift cards to local establishments. It is our hope that each Upper Elementary family will be willing to contribute $5 - $10, or whatever your heart and budget allows.
· Portage Manor - As we have for several years, we would like to provide bingo prizes for the residents of Portage Manor. A trip to a dollar store can provide a great variety of options. We’ve participated in the lively bingo games at Portage Manor and have seen the anticipation and joy the residents show when choosing their prizes! Click here for a list of suggested bingo prizes.
We’re hoping to continue the tradition of Giving Back through these holiday projects. As always, thank you for your generosity!

LOST AND FOUND
Our Lost and Found collection has become quite large! Please take a minute to look through it the next time you’re in the building. It’s in the gym near the drinking fountain. You may find some things you didn’t even know were lost! Anything left will be donated to charity the first week of December. Thank you!
NEW! WINTER SING ALONG
We hope to see you all on Thursday, December 19th at 10:00 a.m. for our annual All-School Winter Sing- Along! We’ll gather in the gym for a time of celebration! All students will be dismissed for Winter Break at the conclusion of the event.
NEW! WINTER BREAK
Our two-week Winter Break will start at the conclusion of the Winter Sing Along on Thursday, December 19th (approx. 11:00 a.m.). During Break, all classes, programs and the office will be closed. We will resume our regular schedule on Monday, January 6th. After-Care is NOT available on Thursday, December 19th. We wish you a fun-filled time of celebration with family and friends!
With this early onset of winter weather, please make sure your child has the appropriate outside gear everyday - coat, hat, mittens, snow pants and boots. As long as the wind chill is 15 degrees or higher, students will go outside. Students who are too ill to participate in outdoor activities should be kept at home. Thank you!
